The race has been a popular feature of the Kent Road Running calendar for some years now and in previous years has been a sell out, with many runners left disappointed after leaving their entries to the last minute. This year entries may be accepted on the day but this is subject to the race limit not having been reached.
Until 2009, the race was organised by Ashford & District Road Running Club, but in that year the club appointed race organising specialists Nice Work to organise the race on their behalf.
In addition to attracting particpants from the south east, runners from all over the UK and overseas have enjoyed this fast 10K.
The Ashford & District 10K takes place on Sunday February 5th 2017. The race starts at 11.00 am. All finishers will receive a medal and a goody bag and there are prizes for the leading runners.
The race will offer chip timing to ensure an accurate finish time. Runners will receive their disposable timing chip prior to the race. If you are unsure on how to attach your timing chip please view the information sheet here.
Car Parking on race day
Please note, there is no car parking facility at the race HQ on race day. Car parking has been arranged at the Brake Bros offices on Eureka Park:
Enterprise House Eureka Business Park Ashford Kent TN25 4AG
The car park is around 5 minutes walk from the race headquarters and is well signposted. Many thanks to Brake Bros for use of their facility - please note that all users park at their own risk and Nice Work or Ashford and District RRC accept no liability for any loss or damage incurred whilst parking in these premises.
This area will fill up quickly so please ensure that you arrive early. Otherwise alternative car parking can be found on local roads in the area.
